Ahhh a story about my favorite superheroine! Can life get any better? Well, reading it, yes. Yes it can.
This story takes place right after "The Omega Touch" (IIRC, though it's been a while), but I'll try to avoid spoilers for the first part anyway in case people read the reviews out of order.
First off, the best part about this story (in my view) is that it's first person, so you get to ride shotgun in QK's head. Initially, upon seeing this on the first page, I was unsure whether I wanted to read it. QK had been such an amazing (and funny) character in TOT that I absolutely didn't want to ruin her characterization in my head; I still chuckle when I think of some of her antics/phrases.
Far from ruining it, however, AMKD was exactly what I had hoped for. QK spent time during the story out fighting crime and showcasing her superheroine viewpoint on everything - usually to the point that I was afraid I would literally bust my gut from laughing so hard.
Other characters make appearances, but it's obvious where the focus is, and I, being a huge self-admitted fanboy, have no qualms with this.
The only complaint I have about this story is that it isn't a 10-part series of its own. I'd read it, then I'd reread it, then I'd make all my friends read it. Despite this, I'm still gonna tell you to read it.
Read it.
