Reviewed:
I rarely, if ever, read incomplete stories, but I'm glad I made an exception for Wizard Tremaine.
Rotedrachen draws us into a Tolkinesque world of wizards, witches, elves, and dwarves. Not only that, he does it well, his work is technically excellent. There are a couple of irritations that he could correct though, his insistence in using 'capitol' when he means 'capital' tends to tweak my nerves a little. "Washington is the capital city of the United States, and is where you will find the Capitol building that houses the Senate."
The only other repetitive error I found, was the occasional use of 'every' instead of 'ever'. A little more use of contractions, such as 'isn't', 'wasn't', and 'won't' would make the text a little less pedantic, but all of those are just little niggles against the breadth of the stories.
Despite it's premature end, Wizard Tremaine is well worth reading, and follows on seamlessly from Apprentice Tremaine, which should be read first. Great characters, a well envisaged world, and exciting narrative. I just wish Rotedrachen could find it in his heart to finish the story.
Read, and enjoy!
