Sam’s friend begs off from a planned sailing/camping weekend, but then his coworker Anne jumps in to take the friend's place. Tedbiker proceeds to weave a tender romance together with very rich visualizations of geographical features and attractions around parts of the U.K. with a generous serving of British culture.
This is the standard Tedbiker modus operandi. His stories run the gamut from spiritual to science fiction to action/adventure to paranormal. Some are more "slice-of-life", again with many insights into life in the U.K. No matter the genre, they all have that complex woven tapestry I mentioned before.
Back to the story... Sam and Anne embark on a somewhat rocky journey, spiced with danger, uncertainty, jealousy, and a couple of startling revelations. Read this one, and know that Tedbiker has gifted us with many more. The saddest thing is when you have read his entire body of work and you have to wait for him to craft another gem.
If it sounds like I'm a cheerleader for Tedbiker's entire library...well I sort of am. "Anne" is one of my favorites and resides in my permanent collection, as do some of his other stories.
