It is short and kinda, sorta interesting in what seems to me to be an good way. It is a fast read, by one of Rachel Ross's pseudonyms, and perhaps a useful way to get introduced to more of her stories.

I gave it a 9 for appeal, although a lot of people think it's more like a 7. There isn't a lot of plot although I was a little involved in what the heroine needed and basically didn't get (adopted).

I saw no technical issues. Give it a try, I recently re-read it and decided I needed to bring it to more people's attention.
