Along the way, I had to stop reading this tale. I just couldn't take any more ... laughing.
This is way too funny to be a Swarm Cycle story, Lordshipmayhem, are you sure you have cataloged this properly? Maybe this should be in the category of, "A funny thing happened to me on the way to the Forum"? Or something else like that which would at least warn the unsuspecting readers that this might not be the usually bloody, gritty Space Opera that many of the Swarm Cycle prefer to be recognized for.
A really funny story and completely on Canon although, Junior Sponsors? With scores like that? Oh my goodness. What would TH say about that stretching of the canon? When do these three hellions appear again, Lordshipmayhem? This cannot be their only appearance, that would be such a huge letdown.
This story features my favorite trouble maker, William Whitefeather, and a cast of classic overachievers, this tale shows us the trials and tribulations of populating a water-based planet.
The last part is an absolutely delightful twist that I had not seen coming. Loved it!
Oh, and the cat named after an infamous Chinese leader, Mousie Tongue. Such an awful pun. So bad!
I am not even going to equivocate with the scoring: 9-9-10!
PS: Lordshipmayhem writes an awesome tale and his latest is very much worthy of your valuable reading time as well as all of his tales so far released. Do yourself a big favor and read more of his stories.
