I have read a good many of the Damsels in Distress stories and this one fits into the mold exactly. The only problem I have with it is that it was too easy to rescue his Damsel. Granted, he had to worry about almost all the men trying to rob him, but once he actually found the Damsel, he was able to immediately bring her back. But since it was his first mission, it did give him a good taste of Chaos.
I did like the scenes where he got to know his Caretaker and give the Damsel her reward. Very romantic.
Technically, I gave it a 9. Not enough errors to mar the story, but they were there.
I would definitely read more of the series from this author. There were some hints in the story about how his life might be on Earth in the future and how his love life would develop.
Despite promises of more to come, even a year later, this was the last story by the author. Since that was in 2011, it is probably not to be.
