For my first review, I chose this story from Telephoneman.
David is a potter that is made redundant after the company that employs him was bought and he has an altercation with one of the new bosses. A widower with a teenage daughter, he decides after winning some money at the lottery to go back to the basics and create his own stuff that he sells at a craft fair.
Telephoneman is definitely British, but fortunately he gives us the keys to the cultural things we would not understand otherwise.
The story is well written and reads easily. The plot is classical and won't surprise you, but the enjoyment is very much present and will stay with you until the end.
