This story will be familiar to anyone who has seen the movie “The Professional” (noteworthy as being Natalie Portman's first movie). It follows the story in the movie rather closely. However, there are several notable differences, so even if you've seen the movie, you will still enjoy this tale.
A significant difference is the relationship between the protagonist Leon and Matilda, the 14 year old female character. In the movie, it is platonic. Let's just say that it sure isn't platonic here.
I have to give the story high marks. I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed the movie itself. Character development is excellent. Dialogue is great. Technically, it rates high marks. Spelling and punctuation are good. Homonymic/homophonic errors are absent. I'd rate it about a point higher than it's current 7.12.
