Theres one thing about Jay, when he gets his teeth into a story about a Texas Dynasty, what comes out is a real humdinger of a tale! It all starts with a tired gunslinger Jake Dunn who ends up in a small bankrupt rundown farm owned by Marnie, a tough no nonsense widow. whose deceased husband was a wastrel, drunkard, wife beating cowboy who couldnt play a decent hand of poker and died because of it.
Slowly over the years they became lovers, and common law husband and wife.
And then he took as his wives two 'strays' as well, and thus was the expanded Dunleavy Family started.
It is always a pleasure to read and enjoy a well thought out story, and this one maintains Jay's reputation as a 'Raconteur Par Excellence."
Enjoy.
p.s., So sorry this is not a stroke story.
