This story, one of a rush to warn a town of an impending attack is very nicely constructed.
The burgeoning love between the two main characters is nicely handled as is the way that magic is so casually used throughout.
I hope there's going to be some sort of sequel, it's ripe for further exploration, especially some sort of way to stop what appears to be unstoppable attackers.
