The first of two stories, this follows a teen boy and his sister through two summers and the intervening year. An unusual family dynamic gives the story a small twist.
The plot is well thought out and developed, although the rest of the story is still untold until you read the sequel. I give it an A+ (9) for the plot.
I can only recall less than a handful of errors in the entire story, giving it a 10 for exceptional technical quality.
For personal appeal, I also give it an A+(9). It has romance, heartbreak, hope and despair. If the reader was ever a teen who lost a love, they will recognize the depression that the main character sinks into. If they have ever tried to decipher the opposite sex, they will recognize some of the communication problems described. Altogether, an absolute pleasure to read.

Looking Through the Lens is fantastically written with a plot that was so realistic I thought I was there. I literally could not stop reading! Yet I was also terrified each chapter was going to be the last!
This can't be the end, the story screams for a follow up! It is an incredible love story that grabs you and takes you with it as it rolls through.
Do yourself a favor and download or read this story today! I had previously read and enjoyed Opus One and am now a die hard Ryan Sylander fan!
