First, I'm from Oz, and my sport of choice was soccer; so the only things I know about ice hockey is from movies and news clips.
That being said, I found that the author has a way of getting the reader immersed in the story line. I was able to visualise the game as if I was in the stands watching the plays evolve.
The main character, Michael, is a computer geek studying at university who likes to play hockey and gets asked to try out for the university team; he gets to be a key player.
During this time he develops a relationship with a fellow student who introduces him to her twin sister and a serious three way relationship develops. Which accidentally gets him involved with a well known fashion house and being a male model. This eventually involves another three females, one of who is a 16/17 yr old sister of one of the new members of the "group". This girl comes to dominate the females, and because Michael rejects her 'offers' she causes the group to break up.
Michael is inherently a 'white knight' who saves another girl that leads to additional female company, which in turn leads to a wider group of acquaintances and business contacts.
This is a story well worth reading. However, I am still "p'd" with the 17 yr old and her actions.

I started reading this story before it was completed. But I help off on reviewing it until now.
The story is apparently year one of a series of stories based on the experiences of a college student and the various and sundry women he meets along the way.
There is a lot of romance along the way, it's not a "find em, and leave em' story. Personally I was hooked fairly quickly and very happy the story was not abandoned like so many here.
Now I can only hope Cold Creek begins work on the next instalment and that it won't take as long as this one did!
But even if it does, I will be happy to wait for the finished product!
Don't pass the story by, do give it a read, you will have to suspend some degree of disbelief for some of the adventures, but individually they are all plausible.
Well written, entertaining, and very hard to put down!

School + hockey + girls = happiness
Michael Stewart is an 18-year old Canadian native who is attending Michigan on an academic scholarship. He happens to be a very good ice hockey player. In his freshman year, life starts moving very fast.
The hockey team wants him - fine. His stunning neighbor wants him - fine. Her equally stunning twin sister wants him - (very) fine. His gorgeous study partner wants him - uh, well...fine. Follow the trend, pick up the pace, add the inevitable complications and you have a great story. Young Mr. Stewart doesn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers - ever - but school and hockey are equally important.
The author has a formula with a chapter equalling a week in our hero's very busy life. If one semester + a few weeks = 40 chapers, then four years = ___ chapters; unless the NHL or life as an underwear model gets in the way. Like I said, the story is moving fast.
No editor to speak of and that makes some readers cringe. Plenty of downloads so people are reading.
