This is the final story of a very nicely written Trilogy (so far) about the Caldwell's, John and Gretel, their son George, seventeen years old, and built like the proverbial brick sheet-house! But unlike some jocks he is a very quiet, well behaved teenager who is madly in love with a delicious fourteen year old sweetheart slightly damaged by her uncles and aunt.
A ridiculous chase across the country ends up in LA; the death of one uncle trying to stop a baehemoth of a fast moving train, and the final culmination of the lovebirds.
Now I'm a model train nut, and a trainsimmer as well. So to me I love reading about the end of an era, and the downward turn of all the famous consists travelling across the continent. Weird as it may be Chicago was the hub of almost all the great trains, and if you ever have the time a first class trip across the US, or Canada, is a truly worthwhile experience for the lazy happy gourmets of food and views.
This is not a stroke story. It is however the story of young love, and how it can conquer all!
