This really is a romantic story, and like many of Unca D's stories, it's about loss and redemption too.
All Unca D's work is technically excellent, and this tale is no exception. The characters are beautifully crafted, and the plot is well thought out. There isn't a lot of sex in the story, but that was fine; indeed, I found myself, on occasion, skipping the sex scene to get back to the story! That says a lot about the quality of the story.
Unca D is firmly ensconced in my library, and I'm sure I'll be reading his stories again, and again. I have no trouble in recommending them to you, and The Door Next Door in particular. Read, and enjoy!

I almost passed this story by... I am very glad I did not however. The theme to me seemed to be love without possessiveness, at least in part.
As described there were aspects that both rang very true, and a few that felt forced and contrived. But the story was well worth the time.
Not a stroke story, and not quite a romance either. But it tends more towards romance than any other genre I could use.
Ben and Molly both damaged to some degree, find a way to happiness together. Along the way, they manage to help others they know find their own "Bliss" as Ben calls it.
Enjoy the story, you won't regret the time!
