Harkness Rules is set in the Swarm Cycle universe. For those who are not familiar with this, it's an interesting universe that revolves about Earth becoming under attack in a distant future. I recommend looking it up to learn more about it.
Harkness Rules takes a slightly diffferent take on the typical pick up stories and I quite enjoyed reading this version. I've read several dozen SC stories in the past decade.
The main character makes some interesting choices in this one and although it doesn't feature any sex, it makes for a good read if you're familiar with this universe. If you're not very familiar with the universe, then I would recommend starting on another story, although this one does address some of the basic points about the CAP scores.
On the technical side there are some mistakes, but nothing too bad. Plot-wise, I'd have loved to read more about what happened after the pick up, but the story so far stands well on itself.
