The story has a novel plot compared to most Westerns I've read, but the story at times seems a bit circular and rushed. The story also alludes to a main pirate villain several times, but the protagonist and his allies never run into a major battle with him and simply roll over every pirate they meet.
There aren't a ton of spelling and grammar issues, but the ones that are there seem to be repeated throughout the story (passed used instead of past and loose used instead of lose). Overall the story is enjoyable, but could definitely use some editing to fix some spelling and grammar issues as well as making some minor plot adjustments.
