Most post Apocalypse stories start with "The Event" and then the story rotates around that... not so with this one and it only makes it SOOOO much better!
In other words, this is a well written story that flips between being "techno-geekish", romantic, strife filled and which contains more than enough couples & polygamy/polyamory sex to "keep it interesting".
Plot: Lots and lots of twists and turns in this story (almost too many). The plot progresses and THEN fills in background information, so it can be a bit disconcerting until you figure out this is done purposefully to add some additional mystery to the piece. Once you get past the first chapter or so, it actually makes for a more enjoyable read.
Technical: There were only a few grammatical errors, but nothing that took away from the quality. All in all it was a technically well written and edited story.
Appeal: I enjoyed it, but... I was disappointed with the weak ending and I think it was a couple of chapters too long. That said, if you like your post Apocalypse stories to have MUCH more content than normal and enjoy a good "shoot'em up" romance with a lot of well conceived technology aspects this would definitely be a good story to add to your library.
