Fabulous!
What a great story. Very well written. The storyline was a cross between 'Pretty Woman' and 'The Godfather'. Ok, maybe not 'The Godfather' completely, but close enough.
I like that this story is fiction, but could easily have been non fiction. Every scene, every action could have realistically happened.
If I were the author, I would try and get this story pitched to a movie studio. There are stories that have much less appeal that have made the crossover to cinema.
On a scale of 1-5 paddles, this receives a 5 from me.

Whew! I made it to the end! Don't get me wrong, it was a fantastic story! I loved it, all of it, but I was in a weird state of mind when I began reading this story and I so wanted a good ending and was so afraid I would not get one.
I actually wrote to the author before I finished the story, just to get reasurance!
Anyway, this story is all about Angelica as the name indicates. She returns to her hometown some 14 years after a tragedy in her life caused her to leave.
The story is intense, well written, and deals with a girl who became a woman and a mother before she was ready, and her subsequent life and struggles.
It is also about family, love, forgivness, longing, and happiness. There are several related sub plots that lend a real flavor of life to the story. What made it more realistic and enjoyable is the characters are not 2 dimensional fixed evil or good characters. They are flesh and blood with human emotions thoughts and feelings.
Give this one a read, I truly think you will enjoy this story, I know I did!
