Charles falls through a rift and gets stranded on a strange world. He encounters a girl that is being chased by slavers. He steps in and saves her, which leads to further adventures that involve magic, princesses, sword fights, beautiful women, intrigue, kittens... (J/K... this is a kitten free story).
Plot: Plots, within subplots with this story. It almost could be a series of vignettes, but the author ties them in together so well it makes for one hell of an interesting read.
Technical: There were a couple of "oopsies", but nothing of great note. Readability was fine and grammar and word usage improved as the story progressed.
Appeal: I liked this story A LOT! I really would have enjoyed just a touch more (any?) sexual interaction between the main characters, but the quality of this story drew me in to such as an extent that I barely noticed.
WELL worth the read. I am delighted that there is now a sequel being posted because I can't wait to read more!
HIGHLY recommended to anyone who enjoys a good fantasy/adventure story.
Note: I am a "hard grader". Getting a "9" from me means that the writer did an exemplary job.
