Sometimes when you read the first few words of a story, especially one from the 'dirty old man's mind' of the author, whom I admit has given me hours upon hours of pleasure, I get the idea of the route the story is going to go; well folks, guess what, Lubrican has done it, the rotten sod! Out of the three possible endings I decided the wrong one, wouldn't you know!
Bob is a regular Friday night Poker player, and his buddies are all exceptionally good players, but for some reason Ellen also a regular at the game but only as a kibbitzer brings with her a "boyfriend" who is immediately disliked by all of the regulars, and when it comes down to the best hand of the night the stakes are the highest ever... never to be so high ever more! The boyfriend loses his shirt, his girlfriend, and the respect of the entire gang!
Enjoy the action, before, during, and after the game, and decide BEFORE the end what the outcome will be, just to say that you have a devious mind like our Bob L.

In "Nothing Left To Wager", we have the story of Bob, who ends up winning Ellen for a night of naughtiness when her dope of a boyfriend wagers her and promply loses the hand in question. The real question is, will Ellen follow through on the bet, and will Bob actually collect? Read along and find out.
The sex in this story is pretty hot, as is the usual with Lubrican's stories. There's a surprise twist at the end that may squick some readers, but if you are familiar with Lubrican's work, then you shouldn't be too surprised.
The plot itself was fun. The author does a great job of keeping the surprise well hidden, and the overall plot is much better for it.
Technically, the story was quite well written, as I have come to expect from Lubrican.
Overall, the story delivered. The tension as Ellen and Bob move from petting to being more physical with each other really set the story up for a great conclusion.
It's been a while since I've read a stand-alone short story of Lubrican's, and this one was a treat.
