Personally, I didn't like this story very much. However, I thought that it was quite a good story, and fairly well written, especially considering it's an early attempt from a new author.
This story is a subtle variant on the normal time travel themes, which may be appreciated by some readers. Although I didn't enjoy it much, I'm certain others will.
I'd suggest those looking for stroke would be best suited to bypassing this story. I'm not certain who I'd recommend this story to, other than people interested in finding new writers with talent.
