Reviewed:
Building a rapport between one's characters and the readers is the skill I admire most in a good writer, and Jake Rivers is one of our best here at Storiesonline.
The emotions, thoughts, and memories of his main character are so familiar to me as a veteran, a divorcee, and a father. The stroke value? No, there were no narratives about all night sex all over Texas, but I have been in the same state as our hero, both literally and figuratively, and my mind filled in the blanks.
I'll put it into three words: Damned good read!
