Reviewed:
This is a review of a story by a... well, I wanted to say a talented new writer, but I see from his page on SOL that this is his second story.
This is the story of a woman who has fought her particular demon for her whole life, and succumbs to it one day with her best friend. It turns into a long term love affair and the sparks begin to fly the day her thirteen year old daughter discovers her mother's shameful secret, ten years after the start of her Mom's secret life.
Pope Perv does a good job with the story; it develops nicely and believably, for the most part. I find it a slight strain to believe that theoretically devout Christians would succumb that easily to the temptations of the flesh, but then, I'm a heathen from way back and I don't know any better.
His sex scenes are pretty damned hot, well written and very believable, much better than many I've seen on SOL, I think.
I'd like to see them a little longer though, just to see if he can do it. (Oh my, a challenge!)
Technically, Pope Perv does a pretty good job. There are no gross errors that leap out at you and take you out of the story, his spelling is, for the most part correct, and he avoids constructing huge sentences that drag on and on, like this one.
I think he may be relying on his spell check too much, I found a couple of instances where the wrong word was used, an obvious typo that spell check didn't and couldn't catch.
On the whole, though, this is a very good story with a great deal of potential. The characters are fleshed out quite nicely, and the sex is hot.
I recommend that you read both of his stories and add him to your library. Pope Perv is going to do nothing but get better, and SOL will be the better for it!
