Mark's long-time girlfriend dumps him, claiming that she's taking "A Step Up" by moving on to the school quarterback. Instead of going home and sulking he decides to do the same.
He immediately sets out to seduce Alice, the school's resident "Ice Queen" genius who tutors him in math. Quickly he finds that there's a lot more to Alice than meets the eye, and he may have met his match.
Unfortunately this story was discontinued, with the author even mentioning they finished the final chapter in their blog. It's disappointing because the story is quite well paced, funny, interesting and well-written.
It was "finished" 5 years ago, so there is no real hope of seeing it finished, but it might be worth a quick read regardless.
