Reviewed:
This is the fifth book of the "Family Volentin" series. If you don't pay attention, you will likely make the same mistake I made and read it second.
For plot, I give the story a B (7). In such a short story, it is difficult to build a good plot, and it is evident upon reading it that you have to have read the preceding books to understand what is transpiring in this one. In addition, it is evident that the story is meant to continue, but this is the last book posted to SOL of this series.
For technical score, an A (8). The errors are mostly in homophones again. Secession instead of succession, plucked a "leave" instead of "leaf", hanger instead of hangar, scrapper instead of scraper. Small enough to not distract from the story too much, evident enough to bring the score down slightly.
For personal appeal, another B (7). The story is not a bad one, but it left me looking for book 6 in the series. Alas, the book simply was not there.
