I have to say, "I'm prejudiced" towards anything Tony Steven writes.
This is one of the stories you can read in one sitting and still wonder about a follow-on.
It's pretty straight forward. The writing is excellent as usual.
Veteran reporter does a 21 yrs. follow up and finds a pleasant surprise in the form of a gorgeous daughter and still gorgeous mother. His first view of Mom was with her feeding the daughter 21 yrs. ago. While it didn't haunt him or play major fantasy roles, it was remembered.
Between the two, Daughter and reporter, Mom is lead to the dating trough. While not forced to drink, at least she is exposed to the possibility.
It(the story) could have been dragged out a lot longer but it wasn't because it wasn't necessary. You could say, "It's just right".
Like all of Tony's writings, I can honestly say, don't miss it. You'll kick yourself if you do.
