It's hard to write much of a review of this short a story without giving away the plot so I'll settle for this: Ginny is a wonderful, compassionate teenager. In paying for a "not quite mistake" she meets up with two amazing and courageous people and does what we all hope we'd be able to do - she befriends them.
This may well be the best short story I've read here - and if it's better than Frank Downey's "Ghosts of Christmas Past" you know it's a great story. Just wonderfully well done. If you enjoy stories of courage and character you would be missing out on something wonderful if you skip over this one.
