This story was recommended to me by Pixel the Cat, for which I must thank him. It's a greatly summarized retelling of the Lord of the Rings, but from Sauron's perspective. And it's hilarious.
The humor is dry and sarcastic. People use LOL a lot, but this really did make me laugh out loud several times--my significant other was looking over at me, wondering what sort of nonsense I was up to.
If you know the story (i.e. have read the books), then it will make sense to you, and I expect you'll enjoy it. If you've only seen the movies, then some of it may go over your head, as the movies of necessity lacked some of the detail of the books. And if you've not read the books nor seen the movies, then I'm afraid you'll not get it at all, and I'd pass on this one, if I were you.
What little sex there is (and it's very little) is really just a somewhat vague reference early on and another near the end.
Technically it's just a little short of perfect; I did find a couple of nits.
Overall, it's a fun read (and not nearly so long as the original books). I highly recommend it.
