You'd be hard pressed to find a better sword and sorcery story anywhere. it has a lot of bittersweet elements as told by a girl trapped by circumstance.

A really NICE story this one.
Not that twee, simpering little word: "nice," this one refers to a good, rollicking, earthy tale that takes one to places one's not visited before.
There's enough odd little twists that the storyline is never predictable and that is a good thing. There's a good tension throughout and the focus shifts nimbly between characters.
I read the whole tale in one go -- not sure if it was ever issued as a serial but it doesn't need any week-long cliff-hanger to keep up the interest. The pace is excellent and the romance leaves one feeling good at the way things sort themselves out.
Give it a go!
