Reviewed:
Its a good Western story, with a Black man as hero. There are lots of different adventures as the hero moves from one location and employment to another. There is plenty of action, mostly shooting, but there is some sexual activity as the hero has several wives, serially, not in parallel. There are even children, at least one survives. You get the idea a Black man in the west had a better chance with Indians than whites.
I am going to give the plot an A, an eight. There is plenty of it and it is difficult to predict what the next chapter will bring. Technical quality is fine, lets give it another A, an eight. Just to make it boring, the appeal to reviewer is also an eight. The author does his usual good job crafting an interesting story with real (in some cases) and realistic characters. Its part of a series, the Matt Sullivan and Sarah York Series. Its the fourth one, which explains the (4) in the title. Based on this story and the author, I recommend all of them.
