I am so glad that we have someone with a devious mind that can think up well written, and thought out, stories such as Nieces. But first off let me warn you, this is not a stroke story, but it is a love story! And I'm a sucker for a really good one. Thanks Old Guy.
David Morris is an ex cop who becomes delusional when he is shot on duty, and is put out to pasture by his Texas bosses. So, he takes his truck and his camper and drives through the Mid-West to his new "Ranch".
On the way he gets involved with a Kidnapping ring and saves two teenagers from a life of prostitution and in the process kills two of the kidnappers. On the way, they drive through Nevada and end up in Las Vegas where he makes a million dollar killing on the slots.
In a restaurant he meets up with another "stray", Mary, who accepts the offer of a job as housekeeper and the care person to the girls.
All hell breaks loose when a killer emerges from Mary's past... but I'm not going to spoil the story by giving away the plot.
So, read and thoroughly enjoy it!
