Boy meets girl, boy loses girl boy finds love and girl again. It's all confusing but it sorts itself out in the end.
Roger gets hammered with the fickle finger of fate and misplaced loyalty. He didn't misplace it but she did. She paid the price and gets redeemed.
No more spoilers. It's a nice little sentimental love story that is told more than once here on SOL. Some times better some times worse.
Regardless, it's a nice short read that you could share with anyone. Every once in a while you need one of these to keep you grounded.
