BDSM is usually one of my 'squicks', I hate anything that humiliates anyone, particularly women. 'Professor James' however, manages to intertwine bondage, and corporal punishment, with love.
The story is well written, the characters well defined, and the plot consistent, and believable. There were a few bloopers, 'throws' instead of 'throes' for instance, but there was nothing to detract from the enjoyment of the story. The grammar was excellent, and the sex erotic. All in all, Cousin is well worth reading, even if you don't have a penchant for BDSM. Add this one to your library!

In "Cousin", we have the story of a young man and woman that are distantly related by marriage (but not actual cousins in the DNA sense) that find themselves alone at their Aunt/Uncle's place. Thus begins a lot of BDSM fun and sex.
A note of warning: This story is not coded well for the acts that are contained in it. It is coded for "light", as in light BDSM, but the acts between the people is more in the realm of moderate BDSM activities. Near-suspensions, a fully equipped dungeon, the whipping of breasts and genitals and the like is not considered light bondage by those that practice the lifestyle. Also, the story could have used the codes enema, FDom, MDom, and toys. The enema parts didn't thrill me, and I would have most likely avoided the story if it had been coded for such.
The sex in this story is nearly non-stop. It was actually too frequent for the story to really take hold as a story. It was more a sex-a-thon. From a purely stroke perspective, that can be fun. After a while, I got bored with the constant stream of sex acts. The addition of the second female helped initially, but it didn't increase the eroticism for long.
A lot of the sex is impractical, and that took away from the realism. The male had more than 50 orgasms in 5 days. Also, many of the acts they did fall into the dangerous realm, such as leaving anal plugs in for extended periods of time, including to sleep with them in. I wince just thinking about how it will feel to have an anal plug removed after the lubricant has dried out overnight. Ugh!
The plot itself is barely strong enough to handle the sex, but that's about it. There is no story here outside of their sexual one. This one is pure stroke. It starts off cute, and quickly dives into non-stop sex.
Technically, there were quite a lot of errors. The male character calling the female character a "winch" about 25% of the time, instead of "wench", really tossed me out of the story.
I wanted to like this story, but it missed on too many levels. From the lack of realistic BDSM practices, to the lack of a plot, and the silly mistakes, this one fall flat. Sure, it's good for some stroke, but it's entirely too long to sustain the pace of the sex scenes. And if I am going to read about BDSM, I want it to be realistic.
Try reading this one in small doses spread out over a few weeks for stroke value, and you might really like it. Read it over the course of 8 hours or so, and you will find yourself wanting to merely page through it to see how it ends.
