There are a group of authors on SoL that are light years ahead of the rest. These are people like Lubrican, Losgud, Coaster2, Gina Marie Wiley and EzzyB. With Soulmates, Will Bailey has elevated himself to that elite.
This story is unashamedly romantic, so if you're looking for stroke click away now! Though the sex scenes are beautifully written they are erotic, not pornographic, so strokers would be disappointed. The plot is in the title, the two main protagonists come together like dyes mixed in a jar, two separate identities coming together, and mixing into a different identity that is greater than the two halves. Of course, true love never runs smoothly, and if there was no conflict there wouldn't be a story, so be prepared for an emotional roller-coaster.
Technically, I couldn't fault the work, but to be honest, I was so gripped by the story, I could have missed any that were there. On the other hand, nowadays I tend to 'edit' the story as I read it, and subconsciously I remember those 'edits', so I would have remembered if it had been an onerous process. The grammar was impeccable, and the work is blissfully free of the usual homonyms that plague most stories on SoL.
To sum up, this is an excellent story, well worthy of a place in anyone's library so it can be read over and over again.
Read, and enjoy!
