Romantic, schmaltzy and "Awwww" all come to mind when I think about this story. Rock star finds the girl he loved and lost, finds out virtually simultaneously that she is dying AND that he has a teenage daughter he didn't know about and THEN it gets interesting!
Plot: The plot is pretty much what you'd expect in a romance piece. No great surprises and no great tangents to pull you away from a good, solid story.
Technical: Only a couple of very minor "Ooopsies". This was one of the technically cleanest stories I've read in a while.
Appeal: This is a really well written romance. It alternates between "OH SHIT" to "Awwwww" and back again which is the true sign of quality writing. Well done and highly recommended.

It's stories like these that keep me coming back for more! Lellan roped me in and then held me there with a wonderfully crafted story with believable characters and plot that had me on a roller coaster of emotion.
The story takes you inside a rock band, on the road, off the road, in the studio, but mostly in the thoughts, loves, and losses of the band members.
Yes, you could say it was a little sappy, but I LIKE sappy. And I like happy endings, and I like romantic tales that are realistic and feel true. Lellan provided all that and more. Not sure how I have missed this story until now, but I will be investigating Lellan's body of work closely from now on!
Read the story, you won't regret it. It was well written technically, a few minor errors along the lines of 'one' when it was meant to be 'won' but nothing that detracted from the story.
The sex contributed to the story, but did not overwhelm it, and it was not the unrealistic sort that too often takes away from a plot.
