This is, quite simply, an amazing story. It is very well written. The characters seem alive (pun intended) and very much three-dimensional. There is a part in the story with the ex-wife that seems like it was thrown in there simply for dramatic effect. Beyond that, it seems to be tightly written and very self-contained, although the possibility of a sequel (yes please!!) is hinted at.
The writing is very well done, and the mistakes (if any) did not pull me out of immersion into the story. Like previously mentioned, the characters are realistic and believable, as are the situations they are put in. The lake of indication of specific days caused me a little bit of confusion, but not significantly so.
