In "The Making of a Cocksman", Beating Off Bob creates a fun tale that kept me interested in his latest adventures.
Bobby, a 17yr old boy with a reputation for stopping when a girl wants him to stop, ends up taking the virginity of his 15yr old sister and her "posse" of friends.
The antics of Bobby as he works his way through the posse is fun to read. The reactions of each woman shows a deft touch by the writer, in his ability to create various different female characters, and make them all believable; something many male authors have trouble with. For all that Bobby keeps narrating "Who understands women?", BOB does about as well as any man is ever going to.
The sex is well done, with some good twists thrown in. Nothing too over the top, but enjoyable all the same. Some definitely strong stroke material here.
Because the story is written from an often sex-addled 17yr old's viewpoint/reminiscion, BOB takes quite a few liberties with the English language ruleset. However, it is done in a clever and intentional way; something the narrating voice even comments on. So, no points off for the deliberate showing of a muddled thought or brain. In fact, those moments gave the main character and the story a certain extra charm.
All in all, I highly recommend this one. BOB continues to impress as an author, and this one is one of his best.
