What an amazing journey, Openbook has left for us to travel. In the spirit of the wonderful Earth's Children cavemen tales from Jean M. Auel, Openbook shares the story of Two Bears as he grows up and becomes first a hunter, then a father, then a long-distance traveler in search of the secret to making the metal into knives.
There will be wide-ranging tales of searching, visiting tribes in very cold climates, and summer warmth along the journey. Stories about how the cavemen would make and shape their metal implements. How they courted and then built up their families. We also hear of wars and killing along with the sadness that such things bring to those who live to bring home the stories of those who didn't manage to make the return journey.
If you are one of those looking for tales full of explicit sex scenes, look away to other stories. You won't be satisfied here.
For the rest of us that enjoy a good tale, come on this journey, I am sure that you will enjoy it all.
So, to the Plot, which is very well laid out, right to the last scene which fits like a glove. have to say at least an 8.
Technical was fine. I found only two very minor typos that could easily be ignored. Another 8.
Lastly, Appeal to the Reviewer. I so enjoyed the wonderful books from the Earth's Children series by Jean M. Auel, and others on here, about the Primitive peoples, that I can't give this less than a 9 for how much this appealed to me.
Please do yourself a favor, and check this out. I believe that it is very worthy of your time and interest.
Feel free to drop me a note if it doesn't add up to my score for you, or if it does.
