If you don't have a paid membership, you will sadly miss out on this gem. A man wakes up in the hospital without any memories, not even who he is. He was beaten and was lucky to have survived, but the operation which ensured his life also have him the unexpected ability to read minds. This tale of adventure is about his journey to recover his memories, only to find out that people are still after him and want to kill him. During the journey, he finds unexpected love. This story is not full of sex, although it is present.
For plot, an outstanding 10. The author was forced to fill in a huge backstory simply by the type of story chosen. He did a great job of it.
For technical score, an A+(9). A few small errors throughout the story, but they did not detract from the reading.
For appeal, another outstanding 10. Great read.

Paul Phenomenon is fast becoming one of the leading lights on this site. This latest thriller is currently at chapter four and, thus far, is demonstrating a consistent dynamism that is gripping.
The central character, as mentioned in the synopsis, has regained consciousness after a concussion but is suffering from amnesia. As time goes on, he begins to discover that he has a very "interesting" past. There's an obvious parallel to some mainstream books, notably "The Bourne Identity" and this novel can certainly hold its head high in that company.
Add in the fact that he has telepathic abilities, finds his soulmate and has to battle some pretty nasty adversaries, this is a story that will wear out the 'page down' button on your browser.
The most important feature, for me at least, is that the developing relationships of all the characters is dealt with very sensitively and believably, including the relationship the central character has with his newly emerging memories!
The writing is first-rate, I am not the most attentive of proof readers but I don't remember one single misspelling.
One gets the impression that Paul Phenomenon either has experience of the sort of 'trade craft' that is discussed or has done quite a bit of research to understand it. The dialogue is excellent as are the careful descriptive passages,
this is one of those tales that reads like a movie (and I mean that as a good thing :0) .)
Do yourself a favour and jump on this ride today, you'll be glad you did!
