I'm a sucker for stories like this, in which a young girl (not quite 12 in this case) is veeerrrrryyyyy ssssllllooowwwllllyyy seduced by a paternal figure, in this case a neighbor man living by himself who is dragooned into long-term baby sitting duty. You have to suspend disbelief about, among other things, the fact that a girl that age would be quite so naive. But it's a fun read.
