What can one say about an author like Lazlo Zalezac? I could think of a few choice words. Such as, creative, imaginative, genius awesome storyteller, incredible, fantastic, superb.
Why is my opinion so high of this particular author? Because he writes stories that can get the reader so involved and targets our "baser" emotions such as loving, caring, nurturing, protectiveness.
I've read all of this author's stories and can tell you that I've never, ever been let down.
But what really gets to me about this writer is the way his (assuming he is in fact a 'he') ability to have us fall 'in love' with all of his characters. William Redman Carter is no exception. In fact, if anything, people like myself want to be his father or uncle or someone that would like to be related to a wonderful person like this.
That's also what makes Lazlo one of my favorite writers and the John Carter series amongst the top stories in the fiction genre.
In this latest series of stories in the "John Carter Universe" is about one of the most intriguing characters of the 'Carter Clan' as Lazlo puts it. William Redman Carter is a proud, yet humble child of John Carter and Linda Redman. Like the rest of his brood he is a genius with special 'gifts' and knows that he, too, will be serving one of the gods and/or goddesses of the Druids.
William Redman Carter is the child that everyone wants to call theirs. He's perfection personified yet, he's never pompous or rude, nor is he pretentious at all. After all he's been raised by some of the most loving people on this earth. Of course it doesn't hurt that these people are also some of most influential people in the world as well.
I urge everyone to read this story and the whole "John Carter" series. I promise you, too, will fall in love with all these wonderful stories and characters.
