The underlying premise in this story is a great idea, and I think TheMoose's initial approach to the plot line was a good one.
The problem I have with his plot development is the scene where the boyfriend seduced the Mom. I found the boy's dialogue and actions totally out of character for a 14-year old boy. Further, the mom too easily acquiesced to the boy's advances. All told, by that point in the story, I was unable to continue my suspension of disbelief. I believe this could be a really enjoyable story particularly for those of us who enjoy stories with pre- and early teen characters if the author would put a little more effort into creating more believable dialog and scenes.
Technically, TheMoose is a very competent writer. His prose is easy to read and is generally without mechanical error.
Don't give up on this guy, though. He's got a lot of entertainment in him for us. Send him your encouraging comments; I'm sure it will pay off.
