Continuing in his effort to show us what excellent qualities in a human being should manifest itself to be like, Lazlo has introduced Sid Jones to his readership and taken a different 'angle' in his storytelling.
In this story Lazlo introduces us to Sid Jones, who happens to be in college on the G.I. Bill. So, we know he's a US VET and the introduction into the type of man/person that he is starts in the first paragraph.
As the story unfolds you get an idea of the integrity this person has. How he comes to have the values he has. We're even introduced to his family for a short time and realize they're nothing like Sid. (I'll let you read that part for yourself, they should disgust you)
Sid's uncle Gerald, the man who practically raised him, taught him how to be a self-made man. Sid loved, appreciated and valued his uncle so much that he did everything he could to make his uncle proud of him. And you'll see just how proud Gerald was of him.
When Gerald dies Sid see's his family (to his utmost disgust) again. Gerald was a smart man. He left them all something. To them, however, it looked like Sid got the "short end of the stick" so to speak. But, Sid, being the man and person that he is didn't see it that way.
This is where we're introduced to "The Portal" and our story takes real shape here.
So, I urge you to read this one and enjoy it. I can't wait for Lazlo to write more of this series.
EXCELLENT WORK LAZLO!!!
