This little gem of a parody should almost be required reading for new writers. The sole reason I couldn't give the story a perfect technical rating was the extensive "author's notes" at the beginning of the story. As it was a parody of a class of writing which is usually technically deficient, any technical flaws present within the story itself (and there are more than a few) are arguably intentional. Also, as parody, the heavy use of cliche is mandatory, rather than detracting from the creativity; it was merely that several standard cliches were in fact missing that cost this story.
Personally, I would have liked something a little longer, where the author could have worked in more, so the appeal isn't maximum.
Anyone interested in a laugh, any prospective authors, and anyone who has suffered through too many 'first attempt' stories should read this story, as long as they aren't squicked by the content which is clearly coded. Those who are squicked, and those looking for stroke, should look elsewhere.
