'Nine Memorable Days' is a fantasy set in an alternate version of Australia, where a new "Sexual Freedom Charter" has been enacted that allows for nudity and sex in certain public venues, and where promiscuity and incest have become not only normal but pretty much expected. Our protagonist, teenage Justin, is the focus of this coming-of-age story as he embarks on a sexual odyssey with the help of his parents, newfound girlfriend Vikki, and eventually even his little sister as he goes from shy nerd to casanova in the space of nine days.
The story does call for a fair amount of suspension of disbelief. And I don't mean having to buy into things like people getting naked and fucking in a bowling alley as part of the rules of the game, or having orgies breaking out at a karaoke bar, and everyone treating it as completely normal. If you can switch your brain into fantasy mode, then buying into that kind of stuff isn't too hard.
It's some other things I find a bit hard to swallow. Like, for example, from the outset of the story, we're told young Justin is a virgin, and desperately wants to lose his virginity--but has consistently turned down the always open invitation to attend the orgies his parents throw every Saturday because... reasons.
We're also told that he has faced massive rejection from the ladies. I stress, we're TOLD this, even though we see no real evidence of this in the story. In fact, it seems like every woman he meets is a complete nymphomaniac who wastes no time at all trying to get down and dirty with him. "Hi, nice to meet you, want to fuck?" They go even more crazy any time one of them gets a look at the eleven-inch monster in his pants, which never fails to blow the mind of whichever woman has just thrown herself at him this time.
The only evidence we see of his history of rejection is through one girl named Julie, who treats Justin with unfathomable cruelty, calling him all manner of horrible names and saying anything bad you could possibly imagine someone saying about a person, all because she feels he humiliated her beyond belief by... asking her out. ...Really? I don't care how fat or unattractive a girl thinks a guy is; a girl responding like that with not just a simple rejection but with an unimaginable level of hate and venom is not so easy to buy into. In a story that has fans at a rock concert getting up on stage and having sex with the rock stars in mid-performance in full view of the audience, this is the most farfetched thing about it.
Still, most of the story is entertaining, and the sexual content is titillating. Although there are some parts that make for less of an entertaining read. The extended sequences at the bowling alley become a bit tedious, as we're essentially walked through every little step of the game with complicated rules that I never really quite got a handle on. There are also several incidents with bullies or jealous ex-boyfriends coming in to make trouble, but these sources of conflict all get resolved way too quickly, often almost as soon as they come up.
I did like the characters, for the most part, and Justin and Vikki were cute together, even if I didn't completely buy into their love-at-first-fuck romance. While the story and the plot isn't the most well tied-together one I can think of, the best way to approach this is to sit back and treat it as a wall-to-wall sex-fest. Check brain at door, start stroking, and just go with it.

What happens when a country adopts the philosophy of sexual freedom. No more Incest laws, no more age discrimination. Nudity, multiple partners, and sexual freedom abounds. It took me about two words for me to realize that Mr. Berwick Bob was an Aussie, writing about the southern City of Melbourne, which has nothing to do with this Stroke from end to end Story.
Jason is a shy introverted teenager who is first kindly seduced by his nice Slut of a Mother. She is the first one to deep throat his eleven inch monster. A wonderful girl falls in love with this shy nerd, takes him under her wing and in no time they are a unit, for ever it seems.
Thank heavens Bob gives us a little respite from the never ending fuck fest by breaking the story down into daily chapters, and I sincerely suggest that to gain the most vicarious pleasure from it read only a 'Book" a day, carefully removing any pecker tracks on the furniture.
This is part of Bob's special Universe, and is worth the slight puzzlement over the occasional Oz-ism.
Enjoy!
