Of the 32 stories that Don Lockwood has on SOL are a couple of jaw droppers, i.e. they're so good that you're spellbound. This is one of them. It speaks to anyone who has ever been in a relationship that has slowly ground to a halt without the participants wanting it to.
Lockwood captured it all. All of the blaming your partner without looking at yourself. All of the railing at yourself for how unfair life is treating you. All of the self pity.
And I like the happy ending; that doesn't always happen in real life. And that's what fiction is for --- to make you feel better for a little while.
At 8.47 (as of this writing), it's underrated, even without any sex. Just a plain gem. The plot is excellent; technically, it's superb; great dialogue and use of the language throughout.
10s all around.
