In "Autobiography of John Ross", we read about a young man that becomes aware of his ability to control others, and the sexual escapades he gets into using it.
The sex in the story is a lot of fun, and worth a stroke or a dozen. The story sticks to a lot of the core expectations of a MC story, minus the fact that John Ross doesn't have a sister.
The plot itself is fairly thin, but it does move along in that classic MC manner. Substitute a babysitter for a sister as the first subject, and it's got all the elements. Cheerleaders, female gym teacher that's a lesbian, best friend's mom, his mom, etc. However, John Ross apparently has a set of rules he follows, and that makes for a more enjoyable tale than most MC stories offer. This story is basically stroke, so the plot works just fine for its intended purpose.
Technically, there are no errors that threw me out of the story. Considering this was the author's first written story, that's darn impressive.
I have always enjoyed this MC story. It fits more along the lines of the way that I hope I would operate if given the ability. John Ross tries to give something back in many cases, and that makes him feel more human. Sure, he's rutting through his H.S., but he's also not a monster about it.
This, to me, is a classic. The little tales that the author wrote about dealing with later aspects of John Ross' live are also fun.
