Injuries are life threatening! They also leave the injured at the mercy of the care giver. In this story a husband, soon to be a bachelor again, is so despondent that he has decided to kill himself by jumping off a tall enough building. So, klutz that he is, he fucks that up completely, an ends up in the trauma ward with two broken legs, one broken arm, and sundry contusions to boot!
Alas, no satisfying life ending suicide, just a phone call from his ex wondering if he would disappointedly live. Another from his lovely eighteen years old daughter calling from Italy to express her total love for her father. He sleeps the sleep of the innocent, only to wake up with his daughter in person smiling down on him.
