There are stories that we read that reach in and grab us in ways that are hard to relate to others. To me, this was just such a story. As I write this, having just finished reading it, I am not ashamed to say I have tears running down my cheeks.
Don't let that stop you from reading the story! They are tears of joy and sadness. Dream State introduced me to a number of characters that were so real that I feel a true sense of loss now that the story is over.
This story tells the tale of a man and several woman that enter his life following his recovery from a 12 year long coma. He, and those closest to him, have various 'gifts' in the ESP sense.
As a result, he attracts a number of others with similar gifts to him, as well as the attention of some not very nice people along the way.
I don't want to write any spoilers, but this is NOT a mind control story, it's a very unique approach to a number of topics. Read it! Don't pass it by, it is now one of my favorite stories of all time.
