I'm writing this when posted are 32 chapters.
It's a good thing that the chapters (each one is long) are posted slowly, if I had come across the whole novel at once, I would have been lost to the world for gods knows how long.
It's a fantastic story of friendship, love and the fight for survival set in an unearthly settings, with heaven in hell and hell in heaven and everything between.
And it is written in the best Hitchcock tradition - first there is an earthquake, and then the tension increases. And increases in the best way possible for the reader - slowly but steadily.
Written in such a way that it is impossible not to feel like both main characters at once.
As for me:
There are no shortcomings or inconsistencies here, which often discourage me or make me lose patience while reading.
I avoid stories marked with the anal code, here fortunately I gave in to temptation - everything, all the sex and even violence is consistent with the entirety of the events and the structure of the universe being told.
And sex is treated as it deserves - deserves everywhere - "Trust the angel. Have sex. All the time. As much as you can."
As a non-native speaker I can't fully assess the linguistic correctness, but nothing bothers me or stops me while reading, for me it's a 10.
